I'm Dave — a network engineer living in the leafy suburbs of South London with my wonderful wife and son.

Outside of work you'll usually find me tinkering with my homelab, writing Python, or going down whatever networking rabbit hole has caught my attention this week. I'm also a keen photographer, with a particular love for landscapes and nature — which conveniently gives me an excuse to combine the camera with long walks in the countryside around London.

Away from screens entirely, I'm a big fan of BBQ cooking and try to get one going most weekends the weather allows. I also do my best to keep up with my younger, fitter brother on mountain bike trails — emphasis on try. And after nearly twenty years, my Polish is finally improving, which my wife would probably describe more charitably than accurately.

I like to think I have a good sense of humour. My wife agrees. My son remains unconvinced.
